Why one rahmah exists
One Rahmah was founded to address critical humanitarian crises with unity and compassion. We witnessed communities in Somalia, Afghanistan, Yemen, and Sudan grappling with famine, displacement, conflict, and limited access to vital resources like clean water and healthcare. Our mission is to provide immediate relief, offer sustainable support, and ensure absolute transparency so donors can see the direct impact of their generosity. We believe mercy (Rahmah) demands action when one community suffers.
Our unique approach
What sets One Rahmah apart is not just what we do, but how we do it. Our work is built on three core principles: Compassion With Responsibility, ensuring dignity and empowerment in every project; Transparency & Trust, with clear reporting and honest communication; and Sustainable Impact, focusing on long-term solutions like water wells, orphan sponsorship, and healthcare access. Our slogan, 'One Rahmah. One Ummah.', reflects our belief that compassion knows no borders, and together, we build lasting change.
Transforming lives: aisha's story
Aisha, a skilled tailor, faced challenges in starting her business. Through One Rahmah's mentorship and micro-grant programme, she received not only a small loan but also essential training in budgeting, marketing, and customer relations. Within six months, her business thrived, allowing her to hire an assistant and doubling her capacity. Aisha gained confidence and hope, later mentoring two other women in her community. This story exemplifies how One Rahmah cultivates skills, confidence, and community, creating lasting transformations.
